How my journey started..
I guess looking back my journey started when I had a riding accident which left me brain-damaged for five years and I lost my ability to speak properly, spell, and remember how to pronounce words. I had recently graduated with a Social Science degree. I experienced a great loss of my intellectual abilities and felt stripped bear, pared down and left with just me! I knew that the only way to get through this was to development a positive perspective. I held on to the belief that this had happened for a reason. I felt incredibly lucky. I had literally been saved by a nurse who stopped and turned my head over so that my brain hemorrhage would not clot. Her actions prevented me from having permanent brain damage. Tragically a friend of mine died of a brain hemorrhage within one month of my own accident which left me asking a lot of questions about my divine intervention from my angel. It was at this point that I committed myself to really appreciating my life.
This new perspective enabled me to look at the ordinary stuff of life and value it. The journey back to full health took five long years and my self development was put through an intensive training programme. I knew that I had to development a positive perspective to cope with my limitations and frustrations. It started my journey of looking for the answers from within.
I started to read self development books and trained as a Yoga teacher. I got divorced and returned to university and studied a post graduate course in Social Work and was awarded a Masters Degree. … to be continued
